The feeling of the poor family of talents - Liu Jiani

Good morning!

I'm Liu Jiani from Class 13, Grade Two。Today, I would like to share with you my thoughts on participating in the poverty-stricken elite pairing event。

Just in December 2014, a group of students our age came to Tsinghua High School to study and live with us for two weeks。They have the same curiosity for life and thirst for knowledge as we do。Most of them are from poor backgrounds and have few opportunities to go out of the mountain villages and into the developed cities to broaden their horizons and broaden their knowledge。

I was very lucky to pair up with Yang Fujing, a talented classmate from a humble family。She comes from a mountain village in Ninglang County, Yunnan Province, and is staying with my family during her two weeks studying in Beijing。In the two weeks we spent with her day and night, we got to know and learn from each other。I have gained friendship at the same time, but also learned a lot from her, very deep feeling。

Fu Jing loves learning. She can always be heard answering questions and expressing her ideas in class.Every class break will always see her and her classmates around the teacher to answer questions。The first thing I do when I get home after school is to do my homework.In her spare time, she would hold my extracurricular books and read them。Fujing said her middle school had no library and there were few books at home;Her high school doesn't have such good lab equipment。What we have may be what they dreamed;Their hard work is perhaps what many of us lack。

My little friend is very independent。After a meal to brush the dishes, their own socks wash themselves。When you get up in the morning, the quilt is made and the bed is made。Sometimes I forget to make my bed and she makes it for me, which makes me feel ashamed。In her hometown, she usually boarded at school and had to take care of herself;On weekends, she went home one day and helped her family farm and do housework。This made me very touched, but also began to mop the floor, wash the dishes, self-care, self-reliance, but also the most basic responsibility of the family to bear it。

I also see the quality of economy in her。She would never leave food;Even brushing water will want to keep for the next day;Every time she plans to go out she struggles for a long time because we have to buy tickets for her。While those of us who grew up in the city, have a good economic foundation, can easily get what we want, can easily travel to various places for vacation, but we are accustomed to everything provided by our parents, rarely care about it。In fact, we should also be more economical, not extravagance, and at the same time, be grateful for what our parents have done for us。

My little friend is full of curiosity, everything is new in her eyes。When we went to the rink, she would walk this, walk that, and occasionally ask me what it is and how to use it;At home, seeing the piano is very curious to try, but also learned to play small tunes。And we have the opportunity to contact a lot of things, participate in a lot of activities, the curiosity of new things is not so strong。In fact, always remain curious, full of desire for the unknown, can prompt us to study, to explore, to create。

Fu Jing and the other four talented students who study in C1313 have also formed a deep friendship with our classmates. Until now, the happy moments of having classes together, having lunch together, and playing together still appear in front of our eyes。Our classmates are impressed by their simplicity, kindness, intelligence and hard work, and they are becoming more and more cheerful and happy。At the same time, we are also determined to learn from them, cherish the good teachers and good resources of the school, study hard, take care of ourselves, and be independent。

What family is born in which no one can choose, birth cannot be changed, but the hero does not ask birth。Whether we live in a rich city or a remote mountain village, we can choose our own growth attitude。I am willing to cherish the life we have more and make more efforts. At the same time, I also hope to care about those who need our care together with more students and provide them with help as far as possible。
